Amtrak’s Norfolk station is a 3,500-square foot, ADA-accessible staffed station providing passengers with a ticket sales office, visitor information, restrooms, vending machines, and a taxi stand. Amtrak thruway busses connect passengers to Norfolk, Newport News and Virginia Beach.  

Parking: Daily and overnight parking is available for a fee.

Visit Norfolk

Norfolk is a rich city filled with history, culture and endless opportunities! The Norfolk Botanical Garden spans 175 acres and is home to over 50 gardens. Seldon Market, in downtown Norfolk, features a collection of vendors selling everything from homemade soaps to fashion. The market also hosts wellness classes and workshops. For this history buffs, the Battleship Wisconsin and the Moses Myers House offers an immersive experience. 

Getting Around

Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) provides bus service throughout the year as well as The Tide light rail in Norfolk and a trolley service (VB Wave) on the Virginia Beach oceanfront during the summer season. It also operates the Elizabeth River Ferry between Portsmouth and Norfolk. Paratransit riders are eligible for free fare on HRT fixed-route services (bus, light rail, ferry) and can also schedule rides via telephone, HRT’s web portal or app.  HRT serves over 22 million annual passengers within its 369-square-mile service area around Hampton Roads.
