Tiffany Robinson, Chair
Tiffany Robinson is the Director of the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation, spearheading the department’s mission to connect and improve the quality of life for all Virginians with innovative transportation solutions. Ms. Robinson previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Governor’s Office managing a diverse portfolio including transportation, labor, gaming, and health and human resources.
Prior to her tenure in Virginia, Ms. Robinson served as the Secretary of Labor in Maryland bolstering the state’s workforce and economic resilience during a global pandemic. Earlier in her career, she served in the Maryland Governor’s Office as Deputy Chief of Staff and as Assistant Secretary in the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. In these roles Ms. Robinson was instrumental in advancing workforce housing initiatives and supporting regional transit-oriented development projects. With over five years of local government experience prior to her state roles, Ms. Robinson is committed to leveraging her comprehensive understanding of public policy, community development, and workforce needs to drive economic growth and enhance the efficiency of Virginia’s transportation sector.
Ms. Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
