South East Street is one of Culpeper’s oldest and most picturesque streets, with homes dating back to 1831. It is well worth a stroll along its tree-lined street to see this collection of more than 40 primarily Greek and Colonial Revival style homes; in 2010, East Street became the town’s first residential neighborhood to be named to the National Register of Historic Places.
