Part of Transforming Rail initiative to expand passenger rail service
between Washington, DC, and Richmond, VA
(RICHMOND) – The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) announced its award of $14.42 million in Federal-State Partnership State of Good Repair funds to the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT). The funding will be used to finance the critical $37 million state-of-good-repair Newington Road Bridge project in Fairfax County.
