Aquia Creek Third Track South (Siding E) will construct 2.3 miles of third track in Stafford County from the north end of Virginia Railway Express (VRE)’s Brooke station to the existing Aquia Creek bridge.

Project Description
Aquia Creek Third Track South (Siding E) will construct 2.3 miles of third track in Stafford County from the north end of Virginia Railway Express (VRE)’s Brooke station to the existing Aquia Creek bridge. Siding E will create additional capacity and increase the efficiency of passenger and freight trains throughout the network and in the area north of Virginia Railway Express (VRE)’s Brooke station.
Siding E will increase network fluidity and reduce delays due to passenger and freight train congestion.
